A Great Idea That Will Cost You Nothing!

We realize that many bingo halls can't afford to run a big promotion or even do door prizes. Why not try this free promotion idea? Hand out a raffle ticket to every player in the hall on the last day of the month you play. Pull a winning ticket and that person will become your "Player of the Month" for the upcoming month! The prize? Your best parking space in the lot! (Best parking space that doesn't violate handicapped parking space laws, of course!) It's easy to have a small wooden sign made to designate the parking space. Make your loyal players feel that they're appreciated!

Keep Your Players Informed With E-mail!

E-mail is a wonderful, FREE way to communicate special events and dates to your players. You will be surprised by how many of them use e-mail on a regular basis.

Make an announcement that you are starting an e-mail list to let players know when your game will be cancelled due to inclement weather or when you will be having special events. Assure them that you will not give out their e-mail addresses to anyone else.  Post a list for them to sign up on, or pass a list around on a clipboard. Then do informative messages once or twice a month, letting the players know when your progressive jackpot is high or when you are planning to give away free daubers. It is a great way to keep the players thinking about YOUR bingo!

If you need help setting up an e-mail distribution list, give us a call at 1-800-752-4675 and we'll help you get started!

Know What Your Players Want!

Sample Questionnaire Ask your players to fill out a short, simple questionnaire (click on picture to see a printable sample). Offer them a free cookie, cupcake, soda, etc. if they return it to you completed. You will be surprised at how many valuable suggestions you will receive. Be sure to let the players know when you make changes based on their suggestions. It will make them feel like a part of your team, and less likely to miss a game!

Does Your Game Have DDS?

Free Spot Bingo If your caller has to announce the winner three times before the crowd quiets down enough to listen, possibly your Bingo has DDS (Dull Drawing Syndrome)! Make every prize a crowd pleaser by making every winner the center of attention. First, choose your Grand Prize and let everyone know what it is and when it will be given away. Then choose a Consolation Prize (or two). On the Big Night, announce at the beginning of intermission that the winners will be drawn before the beginning of the next game. Five minutes before you start the second half of your session, draw two (or three) winning tickets. Call the winners up and, one by one, blindfold them and have them "Mark the Free Space" with a dauber (think Pin the Tail on the Donkey). The winner closest to the Free Space wins the Grand Prize and your other winner(s) win the Consolation Prize. Most importantly, everyone has FUN and goes home talking about your Bingo!

Call us to order a "Free Spot Poster Kit" which includes a reusable, personalized poster of a Bingo card, a blindfold and a dauber.

Scavenger Hunt

Wrapped Packages In between games, or during intermission, have the caller ask for unusual items, such as a bar of soap, a needle or a penny with a specific year on it. The first person to bring the item to the caller wins a small prize. To add excitement, wrap up the prizes and let them choose. In case of a tie, make sure you have enough prizes available!

Lucky Table Drawings

Coupon When drawing door prize winners, instead of having just that one person win a prize, give everyone sitting at the winner's table a prize! Players really enjoy this! The prizes don't have to be large or expensive items. Tabletop fans, flower pots, umbrellas, daubers or even a coupon from the concession stand... players love getting something for nothing!

Fliers! Fliers! Fliers!

Let us design a flyer advertising your Bingo game! Our Promotional Department will help you plan a special event, from A to Z!

We recently helped a charity start a new Bingo. Our Promotional Department designed a flyer to advertise their first game. They put out 3500 flyers and received 60-70 phone calls per day the week before their first game. The game was very well attended and the charity is well on the way to having a profitable Bingo!

Call us at 1-800-752-4675 to see what we can do to help your Bingo build attendance and profitability!

Have You Tried A Coupon?

Coupon

Is your hall attracting any new players? Wish you could see new faces at every bingo session you hold? Why not try rewarding your players with a discount!

Coupons are an easy and inexpensive way to attract new players to your hall, while keeping your regular customers happy, too. Hand out a coupon to all players (in accordance with Missouri Gaming Commission rules) the first week of the month, making it redeemable on the last week of the month. This guarantees your players will come in to get the coupon, and they'll come back to redeem it!

PictureThe dollar amount on the coupon depends on what the organization wants, but it can be as little as $1.00 to $2.00 off your main paper pack purchase. If a coupon is the deciding factor for the customer coming to your hall, or playing somewhere else, you both end up winners!

As with all promotional ideas and coupons, you want your customers to feel like they are getting something special, so be sure to offer it for a limited time only. A coupon given out each week during the entire month of August or September for your "back to school" special works great!

Picture Have your caller announce the promotion ahead of time, and have workers "talk it up" until the day of the event. Advise players that each week they play Bingo, they'll receive a coupon for the following week, until the month is complete. Tell players that you know money is tight with the kids going back to school, and your organization would like to give something back, just as a "Thank You" for the players' continued support.

During Easter, try putting candy inside plastic Easter Eggs, and "hide" them throughout the hall. Do NOT announce what you're doing until right before your 1st regular game starts. Then announce you're having an Easter Egg hunt for the next 5 minutes only, and watch the players scramble (no pun intended) for those eggs! Advise players all eggs they find must be redeemed immediately for a coupon. Try something new as often as you can with your bingo session, and your game will stay fresh, interesting, and most of all, fun! But keep it simple for the players, as well as the workers, and everyone will go home happy!

And always remember, the one thing that never gets old, is saying THANK YOU to your customers. Let them know you appreciate their continued patronage.
